Ancient Paths

In these days when the kingdom of man is falling apart, we need to look to God for the good way, even the ancient paths, and walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16 says ...

"Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein."

How sad that most people of this generation are not willing to leave the familiar ways of modern Babylon to walk in God's rest. There are people alive today who are willing though. Even now, these are seeking God and are seeing a new way to walk in, a way which is actually made up of very old paths.

Beloved, now more than ever, we need to be able to let go of all that we think we may need or want, let go of our habits and our routines, even let go of many things that we think may lead us to a life of ease and comfort that we may walk in God's ways, His ways that have been ordained for us to get through a world that is crumbling.

I've shared about some of these ways recently as they apply to our health and our nutrition. I've also shared about some ways which can help us get through the coming collapse of the dollar. These things, I think, are in response to our seeking for the way to go in troubled times. It is the "standing in the ways" (of the world) and "seeing" that the world's way is not the way for us to go, and then asking for "the old paths" to be shown to us, for "the good way" to be revealed to us.

We WALK down these ancient paths, beloved, when we actually APPLY what we see and are learning to how we live. Not applying to our lives what we are now learning is like seeing the way which can lead us to the rest of our souls, but saying, "I will not walk therein."

That, unfortunately, is going to lead some people who desired to know a better way, to a rather frightful place. The Bible describes a time when men's hearts will fail because of the fear that has come upon them. "Christians" are not exempt from this, beloved. It is one thing to know of the ancient paths and consider them. It's quite another thing to actually walk them.

Blessings ...
