An Exodus
The Lord has strongly impressed this word upon me ...
Christendom's long years of captivity in Egypt/Babylon have given most Christian people a very distorted sense of the ways of the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is not an externally organized government of men. It is not made up of church programs and coffee shops, softball teams and Sunday barbecues. It's not even made up of Evangelical crusades, Bible studies, ministerial conferences and Christian concerts. No, the Kingdom of God is simply this: IT IS THE RULE OF GOD IN THE LIVES AND THE AFFAIRS OF MEN BY THE SPIRIT.
Jesus came into the world to transform it and to rule over it by the power of the Holy Spirit. When He was on earth He had no program or method, no system of religion or organizational structure through which He would accomplish the Fathers will. No. He simply touched and transformed the lives of individuals wherever He went by walking in submission to the Father in all that He did.
Now, I know that many Christians today (if not most) have deep longings within their hearts to walk like Jesus. I know that many of them (if not most of them) have strong desires to see the Kingdom of God come with great power and glory, yet at the same time, many of these (if not most) still live lives that are in direct opposition to such a "coming."
I say this because many (if not most) in Christendom today have not yet made a correct distinction between "the deceitful riches" and comforts of the world and "the true riches" of the Kingdom of God in Christ, and by the unjust balances by which their cares are measured they are convinced that they are living as true disciples of Christ while in reality they are living as spiritually impoverished end of the age Laodiceans.
Now, without me going very far down this path, let me just say here that I believe that there is an extra measure of grace now available in 2010 for those who desire to come FULLY out of Egypt/Babylon to experience genuine discipleship in Christ and a glorious walk in the Kingdom of God. God is now calling His sons (in-the-making) to come fully OUT OF EGYPT (Hosea 11:1) that HIS KINGDOM might be more fully expressed through men. This is an exodus.
To him that has and ear to hear this call, let him hear it and respond to it in faith by simply walking away from all that the Spirit reveals to be of Egypt/Babylon. As I have shared, I believe that there is great grace upon the Lord's Church to do this now.
Bless you.
