The Real Rapture

The real rapture, beloved, is the catching up of a risen soul and spirit who has put on the spiritual body of the resurrection. This spiritual body is given for ASCENSION, and to enable a spiritual and heavenly EXPERIENCE which is so high as to be inconceivable except to those who have been caught up out of the earthly body (as mentioned by Paul) and who thereby know something of it, if not just a foretaste of it.

Beloved, the apostle Paul was given a taste of the glory of the first resurrection when he was "caught up" to the third heaven, and this seems to have caused him to press so after the resurrection mark and the spiritual body (to know no more absence from the Lord - 2 Corinthians 5:7) that no price was too great for him to pay, no suffering too great for him to suffer, when that was compared to even the taste of glory that was given to him.

Now, it is my understanding, beloved, that our coming into the glory of the first resurrection entails a resurrection of our spirit, soul and spiritual body, the spiritual body being a HEAVENLY VEHICLE through which one can receive of the spiritual sensations of a realm which excels the life of faith. What I mean by this is that there is a TRANSLATION by way of this spiritual body to a realm in which we see "eye to eye" and "hear as we are heard" and "know even as we are known." This is a place where eternal and heavenly objects that were once invisible to us become most CLEAR AND OBVIOUS to us, a place where we can taste and feel the power and the goodness and sweetness of God CONTINUALLY, and where we can fellowship with the saints in light, the saints of the New Jerusalem.

I mentioned the other day about a word which said "be an angel," and I believe this word to be creative. By creative I mean that to "be an angel" is to get beyond the the death, the burial, and the resurrection-probation unto the ASCENSION and the GLORIFICATION of the redeemed spirit, soul and spiritual body, and that there seems to be great grace being released now for those who, like Paul, feel that they MUST lay hold of this thing, at any cost.

About 15 years ago, when literally going through a hell on earth, the Lord told me that there was a great purpose for the horrifying experience that He was allowing. As encouragement to me when I was in the midst of almost indescribable spiritual warfare, He said to me, "I tell you the truth, you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man." I was tremendously blessed to hear that back then. Today, I have a much greater understanding of what those words actually mean.
